<br /><br />I guess the first question would be how many RPMs was it turning when it blew? The boat may have been improperly propped allowing too many RPMs, or if you're into jumping waves...<br /><br />Perhaps it was damaged during installation. How did you lift the motor? The weight of a 250 might be a bit much for lifting it by the flywheel. Especially if you had sideways pressure from lifting it to vertical from horizontal.
