Well, I think that I just found a major fuel problem. Today I went to fill the tank up when I noticed that it was taking way to much fuel. I pulled the plug and out poored pure gasoline out of the hull. I drained 17 + gallons out of the hull. I could have been killed it the battery spark would have ignited the fumes. This has seriously scared me away from boats. I would think that the manufactuers would have made anything that contains fuel extremely durable because of how dangerous it could be. HOw could this happen and does anyone know what I could do to fix this problem. I think that I am just going to drain the hull and the tank and use an external tank from now on. Or maybe just give up on boating until I am rich.

So much trepidation, so little information. How old is the boat? What condition is the fuel fill hose in? When was the fuel system last inspected? That's an annual function at the very least. Do you stow gear anywhere near the tank or hoses? There are material and installation requirements to keep you safe. Were any of those at fault?
