I have a 1990 suzuki 115 and it runs and idles fine when its at the house, but soon as i drop it in the water it will not idle at all. i can start it up and throttle it,but as soon as i drop the throttle lever down to put it in gear it always dies out. Also i noticed that my primer bulb will not pump hard. Does anyone have a clue as to what my problem maybe? Thanks

Try replacing the primer bulb first, fuel pump second.

Mate - I have a YammY 115 v4 - I had that once and all it was was dirty idle circuits from crap in the fuel bowls getting into the carbs circuits...it would idle at home on the muffs and it was not crisp and if you blip the throttle on the muffs it didnt pick up revs quite as quickly as it normally did but otherwise sounded fine...put it in the water and the backpressure was enough to cause it not to start/idle.

Cheers

Took the carbs off and took them apart... and there is all this nasty looking green sediment inside the bowls, almost looks like green sawdust. Horrible, im betting cleaning the carbs out completely will fix this problem... Thanks

You are correct... the fuel bowls were completely dirty!!! Thanks for your input... Hope this cures the problem

So took carbs off cleaned them completely, and put new plugs in it, and put the carbs back together, now its not wanting to start and I see a lil bit of fuel coming out of the carbs
