Just had the water pump replaced on my 2004 Johnson (Suzuki) 115 and it still has a weak stream, where else should I check? It seams like there is something blocking the flow internally since it's an intermittent problem. I've tried blowing on the line air will move through it but maybe not as freely as it should. Any suggestions?

Ok, so any tips on finding the pressure control valve? The pressure valve looks like a good place to collect debris or salt deposits. I've got busy season ahead of me and I'd love to get this engine pee'n like a champ!

Thanks!

Run the motor on some ear muffs on hose.remove the engine cover let the motor run for 5 to 10 min. Touch the top of the head the motor should warm to the touch if not pull the thermostat out seen dozens stuck open and motor dont **** well with a stuck open thermostat

The engine does get warm during 5-10min at idle with the muffs so guess that means the thermostat is working. I tried to find the water pressure valve again but to no avail. Maybe I should try some salt removing solution in the cooling system and see if that does anything.

I have also run the engine at idle without the thermostat and it doesn't change anything that I can see.

Try taking a wire like a coat hanger and stuff it in the pee hole, hard chinks build up deep in the cavity and have to broken out. Did the same thing replaced pump and still had weak stream, used the wire and it flows fine now.

Have you checked the pressure relief ................it is on the port side in about middle of the leg either 10 mm or 12mm allen head

I still can't find the pressure valve. I may take the cover off and get a picture of the port side to post so maybe one of you guys can see it. I'll try the coat hanger trick and run some salt away through it if I can find a mixing unit for my garden hose.
