I dropped the lower unit of my 2003 Suzuki DF 140 - It was difficult to get the lower unit all the way off. After some strikes with rubber mallet as the lower unit dropped, a retainer spring dropped down the shaft then a rubber bushing and stuck on the top of the drive shaft was a bearing. I was unable to remove the bearing.
I am going to take the boat and lower unit to the shop at this point. Can anyone tell me if they have experienced this problem? what did it cost to fix? I successfully changed out the water pump impeller in the other motor on the boat with no issue. Thanks in advance
