suziki 4-stroke 115

Runs very well....to 5400 RPM..and low idle good....but so much more noisy than ever before.
What possible measures for me to fix problem?

friend of mine has a zuki and does his neighbor. they both had the same problem. it turned out to be a hole in the exhaust done by corrosion on the port side mid motor. dont know all the details but that was there problem and there are threads about it somewhere. they were able to mix up jb weld to patch the hole. from what i was told it was an expensive repair.. gl

Did they use the weld or why was it expensive etc....How to....
