Should I replace my whole surge coupler or just the master cylinder within the coupler? Is there another way to fix my problem?<br /><br />Background:<br /><br />I recently replaced my axles, drums and breaks on my dual axle trailer. I also put in brand new break lines. I did not replace the surge coupler or its components.<br /><br />On the way home the other day the breaks locked up. I cracked the break line and found it to be under pressure. That released the breaks.<br /><br />So, it seems the master cylinder piston go stuck applied and releasing the pressure via the break line allowed it to release.
