surf rider ?

hi folks. got me one of these surf rider things and am thinkin about tryin it out today. wondering if anybody has any ideas how to hold on to two handles at the same time. the ski rope + the surf rider handle?

well, i used it sunday for the first time. just couldn't handle the two handles and took the board handle off. that was much better. used it like a ski. only thing is, it don't have any fins on it like a ski so it is real slippery.....i'm thinkn about puttin a fin on it from some old delaminated skis i got. then it might work pretty well......

the ski rope normally attach to the board it self on one of these ..... from the looks of your pic it looks like it went in a "V" from those big knots there on the board .......

i thought the same thing deejaycee. saw a pic of one on ebay once and it had the board handle rope tied in the middle to form an x. that was the first way i tried it but had the ski rope tied to the middle of the x. that didn't work to well. maybe i didn't hook it up right. if it had provisions for a line in the middle of the board. from the boat to the board. that might work.....but it has no such provisions for hookin up any line to the board it self. assumin the board handle and line is like it's supposed to be.......i was havein pretty good luck stayin on it w/o the handle at all. short of it not trackin straight..........and the ski fin ought to help in that respect i suposse.......it's pretty close to a home made ski really. just a board. i think i just need to be inventive to come up with the best way to ride it. sure don't have to go fast to get it going.....

you see, these boards where made back in the day to learn kids how to ski, so they can get the feel of the water etc., here is how you should tie the board ....
