I have a 97 Sunbird Spirit 150 bow rider with what appears to be an original (Audiovox?) dash mount cassette/fm head unit. It appears to just have quit as I cannot get any sound out of it. I was wondering if anyone knew where exactly the FM antenna was located on this/or similar boats. There is no obvious antenna. It does not appear to be in the windshield either. Is it the navigational mast that plugs into the starboard stern side?

look for a small wire plugged into the antenna port. usually about 2-3 feet long. they usually do not have an "antenna" in the traditional sense (costs money)

its not the all-around light mast

When I install a stereo in my boat, I put a 3-4' wire in the antenna port and toss the end of the wire into the bilge. Fiberglass boats do not shield the antenna, so no need to have a "real" antenna.
