I have a 17 foot center console which has a "wiring channel" that runs from the console to the battery that is near the stern. This channel presently houses wiring/cabling for steering, a Yamaha 704 control, Multi-function digital tach, and VHS radio cable (from the previous boat owner). The exisiting VHS cable connects to a gunwhale mounted antennae. I plan to install a VHF radio as well a Fish/Depth Finder. I've read all of manual's install insructions, but do you have any tips on cabling/wiring to reduce noise or prevent any other problems.

Thanks
Dwight

"most of the time the sensitve cable would be shielded"

I think you will have the most problems if the units are not connected to a clean DC supply

tommays
