Hey everyone. I have sitting in my barn currently a 16-dsv t15 ouachita. It was grandpa's old reservoir/ fishing boat. It has a outboard mariner 15 hp engine with a 10 hp cover (as for more power to get around the rules of the reservoir) I know the engine was bought new in early to mid 80s and has not been used much at all and even more so the past 20 years since he passed in 93. I know both companies are out of business now but was wonder what it might be worth together or separate since it's hard to find information. I'm not a fisher and I don't foresee myself using it any time soon or at all for anything unfortunately. Any suggestions would be great, thanks. 20210418_125339.jpg

Sell the entire rig, including the equipment, for $1000. Sell it "as-is" since it will need a lot of work to get the engine and trailer back into usable condition.

That's assuming you have the paperwork to legally transfer the trailer and boat to a new owner. As they say, a boat without paperwork is a yard planter.

If you don't have paperwork, donate it to the Salvation Army or the Sea Scouts or any other charitable organization in your area. Make the donation in the name of your Grandpa - he would be proud I'm sure.

Agreed.
For $1000 it will make someone a good project to work on this summer. Make sure that you THROW AWAY THE LIFEJACKETS don't want someone who buys it using them, not safe, don't need a kid drowning. Old lifejackets freak me out, saw a kid and mother tip a canoe wearing some, and then having to dog paddle frantically to not drown. I was the first person there and pulled them out, put them on my jetski, and took them to shore, then went back for the canoe. Sorry for the rant, I just don't trust them oldies. My niece comes every summer and spends a month with me, and I test every life jacket I bought her as she grows, by putting it on her, then having her walk out and see how well it floats. Call me paranoid if you wish to.

I have the paperwork for the trailer and boat. The engine was ran 2 years ago and still starts with one pull. Trailer is still decent and had new tires on 2 yrs ago when it was used. But I was thinking around that price prior for everything. Yes the jackets are im sure shot but it's been mainly storage space and taking up space
