Styrofoam and Silicone

Just bought a 5 gallon bait bucket with a styrofoam liner. I'd like to seal around the top of the styro to prevent water from spilling over and between the liner and the plastic bucket when out in the boat.

Anybody know if the silicone will attack the styrofoam?

Curious I just went out and put some Type II Silicone on some regular white styrofoam.... been a few minutes, I see no change.

Well, to at least answer the question... took a look at it this morning, silicone cured, didn't eat the foam, made a good bond.
