stupid battery question

Just reinstalled battery, but didn't keep track of which cables went to which terminals. I hooked up what looked to be the main positive to the positive terminal and the main negative to the negative terminal. There were also smaller cables that had fuses hooked up to them. One had a black wire, which I hooked up to the negative terminal. One had a red wire, which I hooked up to the positive terminal. One had an orange wire which I hooked up to the positive terminal. The boat cranked up and everything worked except my stereo has no power. Did I hook up one of the auxilliary wires incorrectly? Perhaps the one with the black wire? Should I have also put that on the postive terminal? '98 Bennington Pontoon, Honda BF50, West Marine Battery.

Re: stupid battery question

That's the problem when color codes are not adhered to.

So, the black wire is fused? Me thinks, who ever installed the stereo used black instead of red. To be sure, follow it and check.
