Before I do something stupid and break something...are there any secrets to removing a stuck lower unit?

Dealing with a Tohatsu 90 TLDI...removed the 6 bolts attaching to upper assembly, and a shift linkage pin. I can get movement at front (non-prop) end of LU but back end not budging...one rear (larger than fwd 2) bolt had corrosion on it, guessing there's some rust in that corner holding things up but not certain.

Have hit w/heat gun (twice), dosed w/Liquid Wrench...given some "love taps" with hammer thru 2x4 on top of cav plate, no effect.

What am I missing? Doubt this is a maker-specific problem so I'm asking beyond the brand-specific section...

Going to go have a beer to cool off temper and internal temp, thanks!

Make sure there's not a hidden bolt like under a trim tab or a anode plate or something? One of mine once had a bolt under the trim tab. Any that was ever stuck on me was always the front that stuck & once I knew for sure i had all the bolts out some tapping & strategic prying always worked eventually. What year is your motor? Are those the same as Yamaha outboard or no? I've got a book that shows the exploded view of the lower I could look & see how many bolts hold it on for sure. These guys on here are pretty sharp & I'm sure they'll be along soon & offer more help than I can .Jim .

Buy jakedaawg a C:smug:-gar!
Durn hidden bolts! $1,000 thanks...also, so you don't have to fight/ruin frozen screw heads holding the access plate on, they good Tohatsu folk incorporated a little pop-out plastic manhole to allow access for your socket/extension combo....
Cheers!
