I hava a 1996 evinrude 70hp that i am pulling apart to rebuild. My problem is that the powerhead is stuck i broke 2 of the 6 main bolts that bolt up from the bottom. I ordered a manual, but it has not come yet but i was wondering if there are any bolts located in front by the control arm. I have removed the lower unit and know have the motor hanging upside down and have used pb blaster liberally. Im just not sure if i missed a nut somewhere up front or if the gasket is just stuck from not being removed for 16 years. Any help would be apreciated thanks.

You might try using a little heat on the housing around the broken bolts to see if you can loosen them up enough to remove the power head.
