Hi guys - Is there a way to repair this trim and tilt ram? It's from an old merc 1150. If it can't be repaired, where can I find a replacement?

Thanks,

Greg

here what worked for me ...was not near as bad as yours but worth a try....disassemble cyl ....drill hole out for 1/4" pipe threads and tap..got to auto parts get fitting to go from 1/4" pipe threads to tubluar fitting on your pressure hose....just assy with teflon tape and check for leaks...need to be sure that because of increased length of fitting that you check for clearance....good luck :p

Never had much luck repairing those and yours is preety bad. Go for a used replacement on ebay, they are always coming up for sale...

I think your best off replacing. When my threads just stripped, it was quite an ordeal to do thread repair. Had to make a tap w/center drilled out to go down over the inverted flare in the bottom of hole. Good thing I had an obliging machinist at work to do it for free for me.

Thanks for all the input. I would have tried one or two of the repair suggestions but, I got extremely lucky. Found one on ebay that had never been used. Auction closed Sunday morning. How's that for timing? :D :D :D
