I have been working on a big construction project in Old Lyme, Ct. I am not a salt water fisherman. Can anybody tell me if the stripers have spawned yet? I have tried fishing different back waters and tributary rivers with no luck. Also tried the break water at rocky neck sate park.
I have been using buck tail jigs and a rubber shad minnow on a lead head jig. Any else i could use?
Thanks, David

Re: Stripers in Conneticut

Hi Dave

The stripers are in the salt now. Those lures are good, also try top water plugs and swimmers.

Try these places:
The Niantic River right by the bridges, also on the beach side of the RR bridge.
Harkness Park in Waterford.
Charlston breachway RI.
Napatree Point RI.
Watch Hill Lighthouse RI.

Good info at CTfisherman.com
