First let me say I am so glad I found this site. It is great to be able to ask questions/post concerns and get everyone's feedback<br /><br />The other day I started my 115 Yamaha four stroke for the first time this year. It wouldn't start the first 5-6 times, before I realized the safety lanyard was not installed. Anyway after that the engine fired right up. My question:<br /><br />While trying to start the engine without the lanyard I noticed a "clicking noise" coming from the engine (starter?). The clicking noise countinued for several seconds after I had released the key.<br /><br />Is this normal or is it a possible sign of trouble in the near future? Thanks in advance for any opinions.
