Hello everyone,
Yesterday I was cleaning up my boat for the end of season, and noticed a red hydraulic fluid in my center storage compartment where I store skis, inflatables, etc. I cleaned it up, and then pulled the drain plug, when I noticed more ?fresh? red fluid would continue to leak into the center compartment. I always thought (and I?m pretty confident) this plug was for draining water OUT, so I am really concerned. It?s red like a transmission fluid, but I would guess the outdrive or power trim would leak from the transom area.
I looked into the lower bilge under the engine, and there is a very, very small amount of fluid but nothing like the amount collected and leaking in the center storage area...Thoughts?? Thanks in advance for your input.

Look at your trim reservoir or the trim tab reservoir. If they are low, you found the system with the leak

Check power steering level as well. PS pump is located on front of engine just behind the plug that drains the ski locker into the bilge
