I've had this Arrow Cast" fishing rod for about ten years and am wondering if anyone has heard of or know anything about it? It's co2 powered casting. The rod tip shoots out about 12" when it's fired. Any information would be appreciated. Anyone think it may have been designed for the handicapped? I bought it up in Tennessee at an antique store.

Cool :D
found this tid-bit searching...

"Arrow Cast Fishing Rod. This rod is automatically powered by CO2 capsules. Made by Casting Rods, Inc. 6737 Brentwood Stair Road, Suite 230 Fort Worth, Texas 76112. Instructions manual says, when ready to use, move the cocking lever from its safety position forward to the position at its farthest point. Now rod is in its Casting position. Before casting, the reel must be "released". Now, squeeze the casting lever and your lure will eject in any area you aim."

found this as well in the search...bet the kids would luv this, or use it against the intensional wave makers{lol}

Thanks Kenny! I also saw that on eBad. Can't believe it sold for $11.00 at auction. I'm almost ashamed to say that I bought mine years ago for $125.00 in the antique store. Haven't tried it fishing but it does hold pressure.

Wow! Never heard of that before. I'd think there would be a market for an updated version of that for handicapped fishermen.

I have the exact fishing rod. Tried to find information for years. I got it out of an old attic in PA. Have you found anything about it and what they may be worth?

I guess it's what ever your willing to sell it for or what someone is willing to pay! Think I'll just keep mine.
