I sold the boat and kept the motor and hung it in the barn. The days are in the 80 and 90's now and will be all summer. I'll have another boat in a few months. I changed the lower unit oil in October. Anything else I should know about storing it properly?

Re: Storing an outboard

that's a direct injected motor meaning it has a high pressure(expensive !) fuel pump in a vapor separator tank...the tank needs to be drained and blown out, pull off the lines to the tank from the mechanical fuel pump and blow them out...anything you can do to get ALL the fuel out of it's system
