Storing a boat on a trailer?

I have always heard keep the bow high and it will stay dry. Though I am wondering if I should have it a bit more level with only a slight angle for the water to go to the stern. I keep getting water in my cuddy cabin. Yesterday my boat was more level and I had my wife spray water from a hose to simulate rain fall. I couldn't see any leak. After a few minutes I gave up. I am wondering if the high angle makes it so the water flows backwards into the hatch instead of off the front like it would when it is in the water.

there's lots of places water can come in - get someone to hose it down while you hang out in the cabin.

On my Bayliner, the anchor locker is not water proof so it has a drain - if the boat sits port-low, the water pours in the cabin before going out the drain.

Funny think you say that. I was in there when she ran the hose.

I also fixed the water draining into the cabin from the anchor, though now that you mentioned it I do have a hole in the membrane for the horn. I bet water is getting in from there.
