When storing an Electronic Fuel Injected (EFI) outboard for over 30 days, but less than 90, in the summer, is it best to run the fuel out by disconnecting the fuel line and running the motor until it stops? The motor in question is a '98 150 HP Suzuki. What else would be the basic storage or recommended procedures for "over the winter" storage in a mild climate such as North Carolina? Note: The motor is run in salt water but is washed down and flushed 5-10 minutes after each use.

Thanks,
DI

Probly, as you cant drain the bowls on an efi heheh. wonder if you could flush the fuel sys with something like cranking the motor?

G'Day. Ignore Mr. Lawrance. Do not run your motor with the fuel line disconnected. you will only fill the motor with oil.
