Storage, gas tank full or empty?

I have had conflicting advice on this. I have been storing my 1989 17ft Ebbtide, 100hp Merc outbourd, inboard gas tank, with the tank full + stabiliser. The theory I was told is that this prevents condensation in the tank, whereas if it is empty or part full, the evil Ontario winter will guarantee water in the tank in the long run. So far, so good, but is there a better way? Grumps

Roger that! Thanks, Raoul. Wish I could find a site like this for 89 Jeep Cherokees. Not so much a truck as a way of life. Grumps

Grumps, condensation is a concern, but fresh fuel is a bigger one. use the boat, leave the tank low, hit the gas station next time out...a month between uses, put in stabilizer....

I hear you, Odd1. That is my practice in boating season. Do you recommend the same for a 6 month (+) winter layup? Mastertech goes with the full tank & stabiliser route & that's been my practice but I'm interested in hearing other reasoning. Grumps

A month, a year, 10 years.....whats the real difference? you will still have more 'old' fuel to deal with....
