Storage - Engine Mix

I recently purchased a boat with a 92 Force 150 with 72 hours. It's been in storage for 3 years. I read someplace that after being in storage I should run a mix of 25:1 for the first few hours of operation. Is this a good idea? Or should we just run the standard 50:1. Thanks.

Re: Storage - Engine Mix

I am not sure if you need to do 25:! mixture after storage but more oil in the gas can't hurt the engine. You will get more smoke and maybe lose a little performance. The 25:1 is what is recomended for breakdown period for new and rebuilt engines.
