stop swich for Johnson 6 hp/ points ignition

Hi
i'm planing to instal stop switch in 6 hp 72'.
one wire is conected to joint condenser/coil/point and the second wire for next condenser/coil/point.
when this 2 wires are conected i lost spark, so just only add switch and is it done?
will this work in this way?

Yes, that's they way it will work when you install the Off switch.
