Stop button wiring?

Hi guys on my evinrude 25 the stop button has stopped working so i have replaced it with a new one but the ends are different as can be seen, the original had the black plastic bits and the new used one has bare end. How do i wire them?

Cut the old plastic ends off (with some wire on them), cut the ends of the new switch off, solder the plastic ends on the new switch and use heatshrink to seal the wires.
