Stone chips

How important is it to fix stone chips on the hull of my fibreglass boat? There must be thousands of these things on my boat. They don't look like they are through the clear coat. I have a rock guard on my truck... Iguess it didn't work. Any thoughts....

As long as it's not through the gel coat you should be fine. Remember fiberglass is absorbant so the gel coat is the first line of defense.
