Stockton Delta Striper Fishing

I live near the delta in the Tracy/Stockton, CA. area. I am interested in time/location and method to fish for some stripers, keepers or not. I've done it once or twice, but that was from the Antioch Pier before I got a boat. I would love to take my Dad out for some striper/black bass fishing, but I need to know where to go and a couple of good methods on the stripers. I have done the bait thing from the pier and cast a rattle trap w/o any luck.

I'm good on the black bass so you can leave out any info on them.
