Stingray outboard motor fins

Anyone have opinions on the Stingray outboard motor fins in lieu of trim tabs? I have throught about trying them on my 18ft center console. I thought it might help to prevent porpoising when the motor is trimmed up and also to keep the bow down a little bit while cruising in chop while still allowing me to maintain optimal thrust angle with the outboard (trimmed up rather than down).

You really need to do a quick search on foils and trim tabs, then if you have more questions come back. This has been hashed to death over the years.<br /><br />I will say this, if you can swing the price of the Tabs, Go with the Smart Tabs, you cant go wrong.
