stingray boats.....

have an 88' stingray svb 176 - what do people think of stingray boats ?? the boat was owned by a friend - it was always docked in summer/covered and put inside for winter storage by local marine. what should i be looking for - ie rotted floor,bad stringer design,etc... the paint is really fadded - will it buff back out ?? only paid $600.00 for boat so i'd like to keep this boat cherry and so far it looks it<br />thanks - bruce<br /><br />ps:it has a 3.0l / alpha 1

I looked at the Stingray's before I decided on our Glastron. I though they looked good and were high quality. I've never heard anything negative about the brand. As far as your is concerned, it sound like it was taken care of. Check for soft spots in the floor and get some wax and start cleaning! Spring is around the corner (I hope).<br /><br />Chris
