Sting Ray Trim Hydrofoil

Are the Sting Ray Trim Hydrofoil trim tabs worth the money and do they work? I have a 1990 Hydra-Sport 17 ft. with an Evinrude XP150 Bass boat that is very hard to steer even when trimmed up. Would the Hydrofoil help. Thanks Steve

They aren't supposed to be dragging in the water at speed, so no not really.

The hydrofoil is not supposed to be in the water when running at higher speeds.

Is it hard to steer all the time, or just when running at speed? And if it's just hard to steer when running at speed is it hard to turn in one direction only?

If it's hard to turn in one direction but not the other when running at speed you probably need to adjust the trim tab on the lower unit.

If it's hard to steer all the time your problem is most likely bad steering cables.
