Still stalling after all these years.

1995, 5ph, 2cy, internal, Tohatsu.

Starts and runs just fine... but after 2 or 3 min it just dies. Happens only when running 1/2 throttle or more.

If I keep it at a slow speed it will run all I want.

Happens on my boat, other boats (one post suggested it was a tilt issue... and the OP said prob was gone after finishing break-in on dif boat. ???)

Has done this for years... took it in to dealer for service... problem continued... took it back.... they can not replicate the problem, bla, bla...

Still dying after all these years.


- fuel is fresh
- fuel filter is clean
- fuel line is clean
- fuel pump diaphragm is clean
- tank is vented OK (Happens even with cap off)
- water circulates fine
- have tweaked the fuel mix screw lots... no impact

Check float height and needle condition.
