Hi, I am trying to free up my throttle and have played around with (Throttle / Cables / Linkage)
At this stage I have elimiated the Throttle and Cables as once I disconnect from the outboard they are fairly free.
I then tested the Linkage by disengaging the Cam Spark Lever from the Arm Roller. It all seems free.
So Im assuming its an issue with the Linkage after this point (I think where it moves the Cam Spark Lever and carbies at the same time)
Is there anything I should look at. As both the carbs and sensor arm are spring loaded. Or is this a johnson linkage issue that you cant do much about.

Its mostly an isue for me when Im trying to adjust speed/revs whilst doing things like trolling etc. But its at the stage now that its getting difficult to adjust speed easily.

The various cams and linkages should have a small amount of lubricant on the main moving parts. Possible some of the grease is drying out with age- even cold weather. You may want to disassemble the linkages, clean and reapply some white lithium grease. It's a pretty slippery grease and good for those areas. See if he movements free up.
