Sticky substance leaking out of my transducer

I have a Humminbird Wide 100 with a trolling motor transducer. It has a very sticky substance leaking out of it. It appears to be some type of epoxy that may have sealed the inside of the transducer. Anyone else ever had that problem?

If your transducer has been leaking for some time, I think you need to look for an new one. However, if it just started, you might try epoxy sealing it again. Because that could be part of the solution they used when building your transducer to help transmit through the material...
