Own a Bass Tracker PF16 Special with stick steering - Easy-Stik II by Easyglide, w/25hp johnson. Bought it used and have noticed that the stick was always hard to push forward and backwards but the more I used it the easier it got. Well after sitting up for a couple of months it seems to be frozen up. Disconnected it fm the motor (which turns easy w/o cable) and tried the stick and no good...froze up. Next I took apart the steering box up front and the pulley inside is free. Lubricated everything anyway and put back together and still the cable appears to be froze up. Here is a question......when I took the steering box apart the cable must have been under some pressure as the cable sort of jumped out of the box when seperated so when I put it back together I wound some cable around the pulley.....is this right? Any suggestions on how to free up my cable. Thought about taking the whole cable out of the boat (not hard) and tie it to a tree or something and get my come-along and work on it!!!!!! I guess I sound desperate!

have you found a solution I'm hoping to fix mine before it freezes I've lubed it with the factory recommended Zero Blue and that helps but never returns it to the ease it moved when I bought the pontoon The stick saves space vs a wheel
