Anyone have any ideas of where I could get a replacement lens for the stern nav light on my '78 American 15? It's rectangular shaped.

The pics below are from the stern light on my '73 starcraft which i think is original. It's made by a company alled Aqua-Marine out of Canada which i think doesn't exist anymore. I was looking for a replacement lens for mine w/ no luck. Check ebay, i think a saw a similar one on there the other day.

chesiebaydecoys -

Thanks for the info. I wasn't able to see the jpg's - in this post or from the PM. Any chance you could repost them or email them to email.

I have a '76 SuperSport, and although I really liked the look, I opted for an entirely new setup.

Mind you, I don't boat much at night, but that old light, with it's faded lens, just wasn't very bright. I also spent a lot of time at the buffing wheel, trying to get a shine back.

The new one went right-in, is taller than the old, and is MUCH brighter.

Having said that, if you're reasonably good with hand tools, you can pickup some scrap plexy (white or clear), and make something to fit. Mine had a globe over the bulb, whereas yours is a nice simple rectangle. Might be a fun winter project.

Well, haven't had any luck getting a new cover for my old light. But I did find this one:

This one was pulled off a boat that was entered in a demo derby being pulled behind a school bus. Boat was toast, but the light survived.

Is a little more oval that what mine was (kinda 60's ish), but I think it looks much better that what I had.

Todd,
Are you going to keep it? If not, I have been looking for a replacement like that for my 66 Holiday, (hint, hint)

Sorry Mybigjohnson -

I decided to keep it for now. I seen one on eBay go for almost $60 the other day. Looks like there's quite a demand for them.

Understand, I went over to wePay and didn't see anything as of yet. Keep me in mind if you decide to change things up or see any others.
Thanks,
