I have looked through the Adults only info and try parts look up on may sites trying to figure out what drive I have. The serial # is 4525102 it is in a 1976 StarCraft Holiday with a 120 # 4479938. The stern drive upper has the lifting eye on the top cover, but the bell housing is the style that has T/L and T/S pucks on either side. There is a lot of play in the steering and is seems to be coming from the arm at the top that goes though the transom. There is also a fair amount of play in the pins that hold the bell housing on. I am looking for a good used replacement transom assembly but am not sure which one I need to replace mine.

Re: Stern drive id

Your drive is a Mercruiser '1' drive (MC-1) and the gimbal housing is the later MC-1 housing. 1977 year. The later gimbal housings (with side trim limit/sender) started about 1976.
