Hi from a Limey! Hope you all had a good Christmas.
Can you experts tell me what type of trailer you use for a deep-V hull that has a step in it.
The trailer I'm currently using has sets of rollers, the rearmost of which are a block of 4 which pivot as one piece. When the forward roller meets the step there is a fair amount of resistance before it rides up and over it and this has already caused some slight hull damage.
Any suggestions?
Thanks and have a great 2003.

Hi, what size boat and what size trailer do you have? When the boat is on the trailer, how much of the boat is hanging off past the last roller?
In general The back set of rollers should be
behind the step. Let us know........TOMMY

Thanks for your reply. Happy New Year - about 5 hrs premature for you I suppose.
I will look at the trailer in a couple of weeks time to get more info. - combo is 250 miles away from here in the S.W.of England.
Boat is 23ft, weighing 4000 - 4200lbs.

Your roller assemblies may just need to be adjusted to better fit the hull. A good marine dealer should be able to do this for you. Or if you are handy, you may be able to do it yourself.

If you can, post a picture of your rig on a website, and they provide aus with a link to it.
