steers hard right??

I'm a new boat owner, my 79 merc 90hp steers right, what can i Do??

adjust the trim tab located directly behind prop.<br />turn right about 1/8". it loosens from the top<br />with a 3/8" allen wrench through hole on top<br />back of lower end.<br />good luck.

Assuming the tab on the motor is not already kicked hard to one side<br />Before moving it, if your boat has power trim then try to trim the motor up a little. <br /><br />Start the boat with the motor trimed down (this will help you get on a plane faster). They as it starts to plane and come up to speed slowly trim the motor up (you will know if you go too far). You should feel the bow come up just a little and you will feel the steering free up.
