Steering

Hello all. I have a bass boat with cable steering, not the pulley type. Under the dashboard and steering where there is a clear plastic tube that looks like you need to put lube in it. Do i need to put lube in it or it an overflow of some sort?<br /><br />thx

The clear tube is where the cable goes when you turn the motor port. If the tube was not there the cable might grab a wire or get caught on something. No lube there.
