Just went thru the nightmare of a frozen steering tube. I was able to free it by disconnecting linkage rod, inserting rod thru end of tube and slowly rotating back and forth while pulling and lubing, etc. I guess it could have been worse. Which leads to the question, what is the best lube substance to avoid a repeat? I have WD40 on it now, but was thinking of trans. fluid. Any thoughts?
