I'm looking into replacing the steering system on my Holiday, going from cable/pulley to rotary. I've checked out the differences between the NFB 4.2 and the Uflex systems, but how does one know if certain steering wheels will work with them? I can't imagine that all the wheel options on the martket right now require the same length and diameter of shaft, or do they? The Uflex kit includes a wheel, but not necessarily the one I want. How would I know if my current and original steering wheel would fit the new kits? Your thoughts are appreciated.

Most newer wheels are the same diamiter and have a woodrufff key on the shaft holding it in place. If your old wheel was tapered and had a holding key it most likley will fit.

good to know. thanks for the info! I guess all that I have to do now is figure out which system I want to go with. I know that EZ recommended the Uflex system, but honestly, I don't know if I need the anti-feedback or not. I do have a fair amount of prop torque with the cable/pulley system in place now, but I wouldn't mind something with less slop and more resistance or drag. When I got the boat, the PO had just replaced the cables. If a fly were to fart, the outboard and wheel would turn instantly.

For the difference in price I would reccomend the anti feedback. Its nice not to be fighting the wheel .
