just replace steering cable on my sea ray 1987, 5.7 engine, I put the same kind was on the boat before the rack by Teleflex, and my question is when I turn the wheel to the left wich way the outdrive should turn?.

Direction is seen from out side the boat, not inside. Pull the cable out of the helm and feed it in the other direction. If cable is coming out the top have it come out the bottom
james I bought my cable kit from a local wholesale supplier in fort Lauderdale, iboats have them the brand is Teleflex you need to ensure you measure your cable before ordered, all dodge your right I have to change it thanks for your help
The drive should go to the same side you turn it to. If you look at the back of the boat from outside the drive should go left when you turn the wheel left.
