17' Bayliner, 70 hp Force. Picked it up a short time ago and got on the water for a shakedown trip. My question is, it steers easy to starboard and stiff to port while under power. I believe this is due to the clockwise rotation of the prop, correct? Broker said steering cable was replaced, it does look new. Thanks in advance.

Re: Steering question...

Aft of the prop there will be either an exhaust snout or a small fin. This is adjustable. Point the back of it in the direction of easy steering a little at a time until the same amount of force is necessary in both directions. NOTE: with the trim all the way in, it will still steer heavy in one direction. The trim tab or snout only works well with the engine trimmed for best running.
