Any ideas? Puttung together my bravo 3 and puttung new bushing and seal for the steering pin as i had to rebuild gimbal ring. Bushing goes in by hand which should be ok if i use loctite but the seal just falls out. Its wierd the hole is like stepped and contact surface in the bushing is maybe half but the hole the seal goes in seems big. I am trying it now and i put loctite on both and put the pin in to hold it but if that seal won't stay in place i am not sure what to do, silicone it in?

If your using the correct parts, then both are not good. The bushing and seal should need to be pressed in.

You need another transom assembly

or have a bushing machined to fit your needs, pretty sure a new seal can be found with the correct dimentions. But as long as your down that far install the missing grease fitting for longer life
