Steering linkage how to free it up??????

my steering is rough when i turn it back and forth, I greased it up and its still pretty stiff any ideas on how to loosen it up??????

Used a heat gun.

i am able to steer with it but it makes a loud cluncking noise and hard as hell to steer. Is their any good grease or some type of lube you recommend.

Any lube will be only a band-aid. You'll replace the cable and/or helm sooner or later, you might consider sooner and be done with the aggravation ...
