Steering control lubrication

I have a Mercruiser with Steering cable linked to assist power steering to the stern drive etc.

My question, Mecruiser manual says to use different types of grease/lubrication.

Would such as white lithium grease or a marine trailer wheel bearing grease or similar, replace whats specified.

What do you use.

Ayuh,..... Any grease is Better, than No grease at all,....

Don't worry 'bout it,.... Grease 'er up,....
