How do you remove the steering cable from the motor? I have a 135hp Mercury outboard. I loosened the cable from the steering wheel and got the cable about half way out but now it's binding and I can't get it the rest of the way out.
Im assuming you mean its binding where it comes out of the cap/splashwell by the motor? Most times the motor has to be removed from the transom to remove/install cable.
