I have a problem with my 1986 175 hp Mariner bogging down when I give it gas. I found 2 wires on the stator burnt to a chrisp and 1 wire on the advance module burnt into the module box. My question is could this be the culprit that is causing my motor to bogg down when giving it gas? I rereplaced the fuel line primer bulb and spark plugs and fuel filter and it does the same thing it starves for fuel and the bulb doesn't stray primed.
